Let’s face it, people with bipolar disorderare rarely happy. As they are not happy with themselves they try to add to their sadness by making people miserable, who are around them. So when you’re talking to that person about getting bipolar treatment, convince them that treatment will bring them the happiness they so badly need and deserve. If happiness doesn’t work for them, you make them understand that unless they get bipolar treatment, they won’t have much at all.

Loss Is The Hurdle In Bipolar Treatment

Bipolar people are up one minute and they’re down the next. It’s a roller coaster of emotions and causes those around them to walk on eggshells or else they run the risk of receiving the person’s wrath. This can cause people to not want to be around the person with bipolar. Bipolar can cause loss of jobs, it can cause loss of income, loss of friends and family and it can even lead to jail in extreme cases. Make the person see that unless they get bipolar treatment they will lose everything they have. This will hopefully make them see the light.

The bottom line is that the person with bipolar is responsible for him or herself. It is not your responsibility to make them get help. Living with bipolar is no way to live at all, so if you care about the person you should try to convince them to get bipolar treatment. It’s not going to be easy and it will likely start an argument, but making them see that treatment is the only option is to help them see that treatment can give their lives back to them. Then the person in your life will be the person you want them to be and they’ll once again be pleasant to be around.
