Micro-Needling
Until recently Micro-Needling was fairly pricey and needed frequent trips to the doctors; however Micro-Needling has now become a familiar practice in most average house holds. The skin roller is a simple device with many sterilized tiny needles which, {as they are rolled over the epidermis}, delicately part the pores of the epidermis and start the healing process increasing the production of collagen and elastin.
Collagen is important for skin to cosmetically heal
Collagen and elastin are the main aspects in the compilation of stretch marks, the main cause of the development of skin problems including stretch marks and cellulite is a lack of collagen and elastin in the skin, when this is replaced the skin goes back to its smooth and firm state. When the skin becomes wounded, such as a cut, the skin repairs itself enough to remain healthy; however the skin doesn’t cosmetically heal.
In order to remove stretchmarks, surgery scars and face wrikles, the skin needs to think that there is reason to begin healing and produce more collagen and elastin, microneedling achieves this by gently seperating the pores of the epidermis giving the impression of a trauma on the skin and needing to be repaired. Repeating the process of Micro-Needling will ensure your skin continues to heal itself until you are completely satisfied with the outcome.
Is Skin Needling the best option?
Compared to other therapies (and when done at home), Micro-Needling is much cheaper and more effective then treatments such as only using creams as the skin only absorbs a small percentage of creams applied, however when applied after using the micro needling roller the creams are absorbed a lot better as the pores are open.
Micro Needling can be used to treat a wide range of skin conditions; Stretch marks, Cellulite, Wrinkles, pitted skin, acne scars, surgery scars, scars, crow’s feet etc
